mark weinberg and i spent a week at the end of feb, '05 in my friend's studio in SF. kevin meeker flew out from new york to help us make demos of a bunch of songs we had written. we recorded 'come on get higher', 'stay', 'i can't get to what you need', 'heaven', 'detroit waves', 'all we are', 'sooner surrender'.... some of those songs got tossed out along the way (heaven, stay, i can't get...), while others made it to the final record, 'some mad hope', but sounding NOTHING like the versions we recorded here.
